Norah Jones' on stage persona is as mellow as the many songs she inhabits in her fine crafted albums. She inpires modesty, coyness and humility, but she has to rise up to the steady and extended energy her new album emanates. I was thrilled to hear her play nearly all her new songs from her recent album "The Fall". She is a fullsome voluptuous and perky presense who is fine tuned to the voices, sounds and grunts of her audience. It was entertaining to see her versatile presense flit between her electric guitar, her keyboard and her period piano. In the spaces in-between songs she would riff a joke off the words her audience offered her. I have to realize she is a fine singer and not so much of a performer and accept her for that.
